This year’s Alumni Homecoming, as a culmination of the week-long celebration of the 68th Founding Anniversary of Wesleyan University – Philippines was a tremendous success! This was held at the University Auditorium on February 15, 2014. With a theme known as “WATTA” or Wesleyan Alumni Through The Ages,the get-together became a springboard of many beginnings. Old friends and acquaintances met each other and reminisced the “good old days”. Many alumni members wore the fashion statement of the decade they graduated which added to the glamour and excitement of the affair.

With this year’s theme “ Sustaining Excellence @68 “, Wesleyan University-Philippines held its 67th Commencement Exercises at Nueva Ecija Convention Center, City of Palayan last April 2, 2014 with Dr. Virginia O. del Rosario, Vice President for Academic Affairs, as the commence speaker.

In preparation for the subsequent academic year, the Office of the Student Affairs, in partnership with the ICT Department, pioneered in the automated election held at the CCS Building last March 6 to give the students the freedom to cast their votes and elect their chosen candidate, which will be the components of the Supreme Student Council and College Local Council.

Parading their charms and allure, the candidates from their respective colleges flaunted their beauty and wits in the recently held search for Mr. and Ms. Wesleyan ’14 at the University Gymnasium last February 14 as one of the highlights of this year’s founding anniversary.
The whole gymnasium was filled with clamour and joy as they cheer for their own bet, heaped on by tense as the candidates dominate the stage and gave their best shot. The audience was in a frenzied uproar as the 12 female and 11

Besting out other clusters of Region III namely Angeles, Bulacan, Pampanga and Zambales, Wesleyan University-Philippines, as a member of Nueva Ecija cluster bagged the First Runner-Up in the Over all ranking of winners in the recently held Region III PRISAA Meet last Dec. 19-22 at the WU-P Cushman Campus.
Baseball, basketball, Chess (Women) and softball are the champions while Badminton (Women), Chess (Men), Volleyball (Men), Lawn Tennis, and Sepak Takraw landed in 1st runner-up. On the other hand, Athletics (Men and Women), Badminton Men, Table Tennis (Men and Women) and Taekwondo Women got the 2nd runner-up spot.
The abovementioned Champion teams will represent Region III in the National PRISAA Meet on April 6-12 2014 at Tagum City, Davao.
A Wesleyanian was awarded for being a Finalist in this year’s search for the Jose Rizal Model Student of the Philippines (JRMSP). EDISEN FLORES MAMAUAG, a senior student of Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, was among the twenty one (21) Finalist of the search besting some two hundred and forty (240) other nominees all over the country.
The awarding took place in the historical Manila Hotel on December 10, 2013 which was organized by the Order of the Knights of Rizal. A medal and a certificate were conferred to Mamauag by Knight of Rizal Supreme Commander Hilario G. Davide Jr. and Pasig City Representative Roman T. Romulo.

The Yellow Dragons again emerged as the overall champion in the WUP High School Department’s sports festival from November 5 to 8, with the theme “Rise to Win”.
The Purple Masters was 1st runner-up; the Orange Fighters, 2nd runner-up, and the Green Blazers, 3rd runner-up.
Up for grabs were championships in basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, sepak takraw, taspony, chess, frisbee, Laro ng Lahi and athletics. The events were held on campus and at the Nueva Ecija Sports Complex in Palayan City.
