Wesleyan Researchers Gain Recognition in National and International ConferencesWesleyan faculty and staff researchers, aside from having participated in regional research conferences sponsored by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Central Luzon Industry Energy and Research Development Consortium (CLIERDEC), gained recognition in national and international gatherings this school year.

In the National Research Forum sponsored by the Research and Development Training Institute (REDTI) held from July 29 to 31, 2009 at Filamer Christian College in Roxas City, the University was represented by Mrs. Expectacion C. A delegation of faculty and student researchers from the College of Management Administration likewise attended the conference to lend support and learn from the other presenters from other universities.

At the conference’s closing, an election was held to pick out officers for the regions and likewise for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao clusters. Our very own Dr. Clarafe Gonzales, research director was elected Coordinator for Central Luzon, making Wesleyan the center for Region III of HEI- members comprising the Philippine Association of Institutions of Research (PAIR) which is sponsored by ICHER.

More productivity is eyed for next year as our university became a member in several research organizations and consortiums. It is hoped that this will pave the way for even more national and international exposures and growth for our university researchers.
