For successful admission to the GRADUATE SCHOOL, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • To be admitted to GRADUATE SCHOOL, you need to meet the following requirements. You must have completed an undergraduate degree from a recognized higher education institution (HEI). Admission to a master’s program requires a minimum academic average grade of 80, while admission to a doctoral program requires a relevant master’s degree from an accredited HEI, with a general average of at least 85.
  • For non-verticalized degree programs (e.g. from MPA to PhD BA), applicants will be required to take a bridging program composed of 9 units toward the doctoral specialization (including 3 units of research).
  • For research doctoral programs, you must have passed a master’s thesis, while non-thesis graduates must complete six units of research courses if they wish to pursue a research degree at the doctoral level (e.g. Doctor of Philosophy) and submit a research paper. Provisional admission may be given to students who do not meet full admission requirements, but it is only valid for one semester.
  • By way of exception, any student with a lower general average may initially be admitted on a probationary basis for one semester. After demonstrating the capacity to undertake graduate or post-graduate studies, he/she may be formally admitted to the program.
  • Provisional admission may be given to students falling short of full admission requirements. Provisional admissions are valid for one semester only. Failure to comply with the requirements of admission after one semester will entail being dropped from the program.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

  • Applicants must present a Permit to Study from the Bureau of Immigration;
  • Successful international students will have begun the application process no later than 3 months before WU-P Registration Week;

PROCEDURES FOR ADMISSION

For successful admission at GS:

  1. An application form will have been carefully filled out by the applicant. The form can be obtained from the GS Office upon request and is available at the WU-P website. The application form requires that the student supply a small recent 2×2 picture.
  2. Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate schools attended by the student will have been submitted to the GS Office. The transcripts should have the remark “Copy for Wesleyan University-Philippines.”
  3. A photocopy of the applicant’s birth certificate must be submitted.
  4. Students who are transferring credits from other HEIs must submit a statement of honorable dismissal and a recommendation for admission. An original Transcript of Records is also required.
  5. Students desiring financial assistance must communicate with the Office of Student Affairs for the Form and process of scholarship application.

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE

  • Visit the College/Department where the program you want to enroll is offered.
  • Submit a photocopy of your admission requirements.
  • At the College/Department you will be advised, your courses will be assigned, and your fees will be assessed.
  • After which, you will go to the Registrar’s Office to submit the original copy of your admission requirements.
  • And then, pay your fees at the University Treasury or online. Please see the “Online Payment” tab at the left side.
  • If you are applying for a scholarship, you need to secure and complete the scholarship form from the Office of Student Affairs (You may inquire there the process).
  • Next, go to the NOC (2nd Floor of Computer Science Bldg.) for your ID.
  • Finally, you can go to the University Commissary to purchase/get your uniform, ID
    lace, and books.
  • Visit the College/Department where the program you want to enroll is offered.

  • The foreign student seeking for admission shall proceed to the Office of the University Registrar and present the following documents to Ms. Carmeliza S. Valdez, Bureau of Immigration (BI) Accredited School Representative, for verification:

    • Proper Visa from the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation
    • Birth Certificate with English translation
    • Academic Records (Transcript of Records and Diploma) with English translation
    • Two (2) copies of 2×2 ID picture (white background)
  • Upon verification and finding that all documents are in order, the foreign student must take the Psychological Examination to be administered by the Guidance and Placement Center after paying the Psychological Examination Fee amounting to one
    thousand pesos (Php 1,000.00).
  • Should the foreign student pass the Psychological Examination as determined by the Guidance and Placement Center, then he/she shall be issued a Notice of Acceptance and shall be assisted by Ms. Valdez in securing the appropriate Student Visa from the BI. Note that in the event that the foreign student fails the said examination, then he/she shall be denied admission.
  • Once the foreign student’s Student Visa is released, or upon favorable recommendation from the BI, the foreign student shall be endorsed to the Dean of the college/school where he/she wishes to enroll for proper advising.
  • The foreign student shall proceed to the Treasury office to pay his/her assessed fees and the initial Foreign Student Fee (paid for every academic year of enrollment) as follows:
    • Ten thousand pesos (Php 10,000.00) for Baccalaureate Degree;
    • Fifteen thousand pesos (Php 15,000.00) for Master Degree; and
    • Twenty thousand pesos (Php20,000.00) for Doctorate Degree.
  • The student officially enrolled in another Higher Education Institution (HEI) must secure his/her Cross-Enrollment Permit from the Registrar’s Office of the school where he/she is officially enrolled.
  • The student shall proceed to the college/school of WUP and present his/her Cross- Enrollment Permit to the Dean’s Office for verification. Once verified, he/she may check the availability of the course(s) he/she wishes to take.
  • The student shall be duly advised and assessed by the college/school taking into consideration the existing policy of the university.
  • The student shall proceed to the Treasury Office to pay his/her assessed fees.

ONLINE PAYMENT

Step 1: Access the WUP Automate Make sure you are already advised or assessed by your respective colleges prior to the downpayment.

    • Go to https://wup.schoolautomate.com/
    • Click on “PARENT/STUDENTS.

Step 2: Log in to Your Account

    • Enter your username and password to log in to your account.

Step 3: Navigate to Online Payment

    • Once logged in, find and click on the “Online Payment” option in the menu.

Step 4: Verify Your Email Address

    • Confirm that your email address is up to date. Payment instructions and transaction references will be sent to this email.

Step 5: Paying downpayment

    • Click on “Pay Downpayment.”
    • Input Desired Downpayment Amount then Click “PAY NOW”.

Step 6: Select Payment Method

    • Choose the preferred payment source (e.g., GCASH, BDO, E-wallet/Online Banking).
    • Click on “Pay.”

Step 7: Process Payment

    • Based on the selected payment source (GCASH, BDO,7-11, E-wallet/Online Banking), you will receive specific instructions through your email or SMS. Ensure to follow the provided instructions for the selected payment method.

Step 8: Confirmation and Reflection on Student Ledger

    • Upon successful payment, your transaction will reflect on your student ledger within 48hours.
