The Chaplaincy Office initiated a university-wide 40-day prayer vigil to pray for the world amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, it was conducted every morning with students and employees of the university, when the ECQ was not yet implemented. During the lockdown, pastors, secruity personnel and some employees continued the prayer vigil. 

During the community quarantine, the Mt. Horeb 24-hour prayer chain was started. Colleges and departments led the prayer online.
