COLLEGE OF NURSING
ABOUT COLLEGE OF NURSING
Wesleyan University-Philippines’ College of Nursing opened in 1973 in response to the country’s growing healthcare challenges, exacerbated by a shortage of personnel and a brain drain of trained professionals. Over time, it expanded to become the College of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences (CONAMS), offering a range of programs including Nursing, Medical Technology, Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy.
Due to increased demand and evolving requirements, CONAMS split into two separate colleges: the College of Nursing (CON) and the College of Allied Medical Sciences (CAMS), enhancing administration and education quality. The Nursing program holds Level IV Accreditation, the highest granted, and the MA in Nursing program holds Level III Accreditation from FAAP through ACSCU ACI.
The College’s comprehensive training and instilled Christian values are reflected in the outstanding performance of its graduates in the Nursing Licensure Examination (NLE). Notable passers include Dana Relucio (6th Place, 1978), Domingo Tan Lim (6th Place, 1983), Nenita Manayao (10th Place, 1983), Henrietta Torralba (7th Place, 1986), Maricar Lacanilao (10th Place, 1992), Edgar Allan Cruz (10th Place, 1995), Rocky San Pedro (6th Place, 2006), April Joy Galicia (10th Place, 2010), Camille Cruz (10th Place, May 2014), Geastyne Lauren Nolido (2nd Place, November 2014), and Ma. Paola Joy Esposo (10th Place, 2015).
