Wesleyan University-Philippines (WUP) hosted a special session on Education U.S.A. led by the U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section Team on February 28, 2023. The team, composed of Ms. Pauline Anderson, Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer, and Public Engagement Officer, Ms. Florabel Aureus, Public Engagement Specialist, and Ms. Karen Joy Fetalvero, Public Engagement Assistant (Education USA), provided valuable insights on educational opportunities in the United States to high school and College of Education students.
The session was held at the University Chapel, and it aimed to encourage students to pursue higher education in the United States. The US Embassy team discussed the different programs and scholarships available for international students, as well as the application process and requirements.
The Education U.S.A. session was a great opportunity for the students to learn about international educational opportunities and explore their academic potential. It is hoped that this initiative will inspire and motivate them to pursue their dreams and contribute to the development of their communities.
Last year, WUP, Dr. Jenny Lind Elmaco, and the US Embassy partnered on the Girls
Congress.###
