Adding four more medals to the winnings of the WUP Team for the PRISAA Regional Games 2023 were the Taekwondo athletes Princess Cristine Velasco, a BS in Nursing student, and Mc Ray Julio, a BS in Radiologic Technology student, who won a Gold Medal in their respective categories. Kasier Klimt De Leon, a BS in Computer Engineering student, and Clark Alexis Guzman, a BS in Nursing student, on the other hand, tallied Silver Medals from their respective categories.
They will be moving forward to the National PRISAA 2023 scheduled in July in Zamboanga.
Right after the competition, Coach Gerika Ocampo, through a message to Dr. Henry Cocoy Nacpil, Sports Coordinator, expressed her commitment to training the student-athletes in preparation for next year’s competitions hoping that more of them would win.
