La Consolacion University General Hospital (LCUGH) has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Wesleyan University-Philippines (WUP) for the donation of five electric medical beds, four infusion pumps, and two wheelchairs.
A delegation from La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP), headed by Sister Niceta Vargas, OSA, PhD, personally conveyed their thanks during the turnover ceremony. She was joined by Dr. Manuel Aves, LCUGH Medical Director; Sister Leonida Delgado, OSA, Hospital Administrator; and another OSA sister who oversees the hospital’s Emergency Room.
The delegation presented a plaque of appreciation to WUP President Dr. Irineo G. Alvaro Jr., recognizing the generosity of the university. The message highlighted WUP’s compassion and love for the people of Bulacan, made tangible through the gift of medical equipment, and praised this act as a reflection of Jesus’ healing ministry and deep concern for humanity.
This initiative also shows WUP’s strong support for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. By helping improve patient care, it contributes to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being. By providing equipment that benefits all patients, especially the vulnerable, it helps in SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. And by working hand in hand with La Consolacion University General Hospital, it strengthens SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, serving the greater good of the community.
Through this act of service, Wesleyan University-Philippines reaffirms its mission of compassion, hope, and healing—extending Christ’s love to the wider community.
