To promote its Senior High School Program, the Wesleyan University–Philippines (WUP) Marketing Team conducted a room-to-room campaign for Grade 10 students at Nueva Ecija High School (NEHS) on January 28, 2026, aimed to provide prospective students with a clear understanding of WUP’s academic offerings, senior high school tracks, and student opportunities.
The campaign was led by Mr. Mark Alvin B. Dela Cruz, Director of the Public Information Office (PIO), together with on-the-job trainees Ruzzel M. Soro from the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management, and Bachelor of Arts in Communication students Gabriel Acosta, Jasmine Louise D. Borja, Bea Patricia O. Cariaga, Franz Robert L. Fernando, Jeremy M. Panagsagan, Ryine Z. Soliman, and Jenine V. Valerio. Other members of the team were Ms. Ayumi San Cai Valerio and Mr. John Carlo S. Dauz, PIO staff members.
“On behalf of the WUP Marketing Team, I sincerely thank Ms. Aurora T. Aguila, Secondary School Principal IV, Ms. Claire Ann Z. Peñol, OIC Guidance Counselor II, Mrs. Regina Santos, HT VI, Ms. Michelle Reyes, NEHS Junior High School staff member, and all Grade 10 advisers and teachers for their support and cooperation during our campaign,” Mr. Dela Cruz noted.
This was the third consecutive year that WUP conducted this campaign to engage prospective senior high school students at NEHS. As part of the activity, the team surveyed to determine students’ preferred programs, the factors guiding their choice of school, and WUP’s standing in the local education market. The insights gathered would help the University refine its marketing and academic strategies.
To encourage participation, interactive games were facilitated for the Grade 10 students, with prizes such as mugs, notebooks, ballpens, and bookmarks awarded to participants.
During the discussions, the campaign highlighted WUP’s distinction as the only autonomous university in Nueva Ecija, offering accredited and internationally recognized programs. The team also presented the strengthened Senior High School curriculum, which includes the Academic Track and the TechPro Track, each composed of five core subjects and two electives.
Additional information on university facilities, the SHARE Program (Support for the Handicapped and Their Rehabilitation through Education), the Robotics subject, available scholarships and discounts, and student life at WUP was also shared to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities available at the University.
“Worth mentioning and appreciating is the effort made by the on-the-job trainees from WUP BA in Communication and BSBA Marketing Management, who stepped up in the absence of the senior high school faculty members, whom I initially requested participation from the high school principal. The OJTs did a splendid job in representing the University in this activity. So, salamat sa kanila, as this could not have been possible if not for them,” highlighted by the PIO Director.
