The College of Allied Medical Sciences (CAMS) of Wesleyan University-Philippines held its 4th White Coat and Pinning Ceremonies on April 28, 2025. A total of 235 junior students participated in the event, which marks the beginning of their clinical training.
The ceremony was held with the theme, “Bridging Science and Service: A Pledge to Healing and Humanity.” Students from the Medical Technology, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Radiologic Technology programs received their white coats as a symbol of their preparation for clinical duties.
Dr. Maria Elizabeth M. Grageda, Associate Professor and Dean of the National Teacher Training Center for the Health Professions at the University of the Philippines Manila, served as the guest speaker.
Mr. Micko D. De Guzman, President of the Young Pharmacist Group – Philippines, led the students in reciting the Oath of a Pharmacy Student.
The white coats were conferred by CAMS faculty members, symbolizing the transmission of professional responsibility. Parents and guardians of the students were also present and participated by placing the Wesleyan University-Philippines pin on the students.
