The Wesleyan University-Philippines Faculty and Staff Association (WUPFSA) came together in a jubilant celebration to mark its 36th Founding Anniversary on September 1, 2023, with the monumental appearance of Atty. Juanito R. Carlos, WU-P’s BOT Chair and acting president, together with Philippine Methodist Bishops Israel M. Painit (Davao Episcopal Area), Rodel M. Acdal (Baguio Episcopal Area), and Ruby-Nell M. Estrella (Manila’s 1st woman bishop). The program commenced with a spirited parade that ignited the festivities. Following this, a heartfelt Thanksgiving Service provided a moment of collective reflection and gratitude, where members paused to acknowledge the blessings and guidance they had received throughout their shared history. It also marked the first-ever WUPFSA celebration where the university’s BOT Chair and Acting President and the UMC Bishops were present.
The celebration continued with fun games and the “Sigaw ng WUPFSA” Contest, adding excitement and fostering teamwork among participants. Through these engaging activities, the event embodied the vibrant essence of WUPFSA, leaving a lasting impression of unity and dedication.
