To strengthen engagement with partner schools and prospective students, the Wesleyan University-Philippines (WUP) Marketing Team, led by the Public Information Office, conducted a room-to-room campaign at Exequiel R. Lina High School (ERLHS) in Licab, Nueva Ecija, on February 12, 2026, presenting its academic programs to nearly 400 Grade 12 students.Team members took turns presenting WUP programs offered in their respective colleges and provided the Grade 12 students with informational materials about the University and its programs, including freebies such as pens, bookmarks, and souvenir mugs.

Mr. Mark Alvin B. dela Cruz (PIO Director) highlighted the advantages of studying in an autonomous university, a distinction WUP has, its quality of education aligned with international benchmarks, programs that allow students to finish college in three to three-and-a-half years, and scholarships and discounts available to students.

The PIO Director noted that the activity marked the first time in recent history that WUP visited ERLHS for a marketing activity.

“I’m very grateful to the Exequiel R. Lina High School, especially to Mr. Jhamel Bautista, Assistant Principal Maricel Duldulao, and School Principal Dr. Glenn B. Abesamis, for accommodating us to conduct a room-to-room campaign for their Grade 12 students for Wesleyan [University-Philippines], although their school’s Career Orientation Day, which was participated in by other colleges and universities in Nueva Ecija, was done on Tuesday [February 10, 2026],” said Mr. dela Cruz.

The WUP team also included Prof. Sonia Capio (College of Arts and Sciences), Prof. Jay Montiadora and Prof. Christopher Oyler (College of Allied Medical Sciences), Prof. Thomas Mayrick Mendoza (College of Business and Accountancy), Prof. Kate Abegail Palma (College of Education), Prof. Jamaica dela Cueva (College of Hospitality and Tourism Management), Prof. Amia Francezka Bautista and Prof. Justin Lex Domingo (College of Nursing), Engr. Galilee Villar (College of Engineering and Computer Technology), Prof. Mary Joy Trucilla and Prof. Maricar Marcelo (College of Criminal Justice Education); and PIO staff members Ms. Ayumi San Cai Valerio and Mr. Julian Jude Mariano.

Bachelor of Arts in Communication on-the-job trainees Jenine Valerio, Jeremy Panagsagan, Ryine Soliman, Gabriel Acosta, and Franz Fernando provided additional support during the activity.

In the team’s conversation with Dr. Abesamis, it was revealed that the School Principal earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from WUP in 2000 and completed his teacher education units at the University.

In addition, Mr. dela Cruz opened a conversation on possible collaborations with ERLHS officials to strengthen institutional ties.
