Medical Technology students at Wesleyan University – Philippines (WUP) secured multiple placements in competitions during the Philippine Society of Medical Technology Students (PHISMETS) Nueva Ecija program on September 28, 2026.
WUP’s Kier Ej P. Campos and Lhoraine Selin Balingit Ablaza were named 1st runners-up. Campos and Ablaza also earned Best in Ramp Walk, while Ablaza received Ms. Body Beautiful and Ms. Best Casual Wear.
Kier Andrey Buenaventura was hailed as champion in the Syn Rynge, while the university placed 2nd runner-up in the Lab Olympics and 1st runner-up in the Team Dance Competition.
Aside from the competitions, the program featured a Leadership and Management Seminar led by Danica E. Togle, who discussed communication, cooperation, teamwork, and collaboration as key elements of effective leadership, followed by a forum.
The program also included a question-and-answer segment for the pageant candidates focusing on possible improvements to the Philippine healthcare system and the responsibilities of future medical laboratory professionals.
