The visit began with a cordial meet and greet session with WU-P President Dr. Irineo G. Alvaro, Jr., and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Wilfredo C. Ramos. Also present were Wesleyan External Systems, Connections, Opportunities, and Partnerships (WESCOP) OIC Director Dr. Eufemia C. Ayro and Extension Associates Prof. Jose Arsenio R. Adriano, Dr. Antonio T. Tiglao, and Mr. Christian D.G. Navarro.
A short but meaningful meeting was held at the Board Room of the Administration Building, where both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to building strong, responsive partnerships aimed at addressing the challenges faced by underserved communities. The discussions emphasized the value of collaboration and the power of collective action.
As President Alvaro often reminds the Wesleyan community, echoing the words of Mother Teresa: “There are things that you can do that I cannot do, and there are things I can do that you cannot do. But together, we can do great things- miracles.”
This engagement affirmed Wesleyan University-Philippines’ dedication to pursuing not only academic collaboration but also meaningful service partnerships that extend beyond borders.
Following the meeting, the guests were treated to a warm WESPRESSO hospitality experience with drinks and cakes courtesy of President Alvaro, offering a warm and memorable close to the day’s exchange of ideas and shared purpose.
