As part of the 80th Founding Anniversary of Wesleyan University–Philippines (WUP), the Supreme Student Council (SSC), with the support of the university administration, hosted the “Run, Splash, and Serve” Fun Run & Water Splash on February 11, 2026.

A total of 678 participants joined the activity, composed of students, employees, university officials, and registered runners from outside the university community. From Plaza Acacia, the run routed to WUP Hospital, Vergara Highway, Magsaysay Sur, North Gate, and back to Plaza Acacia.

Adding to the excitement, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Cabanatuan City delighted participants with refreshing water splashes along the route, bringing extra fun to the early morning run.

According to Ms. Crystalyn Galido, Director of the Office of Student Affairs, one of the objectives of the fun run was to generate additional seed funds to augment the Wesleyan Legacy Fund, which aims to expand WUP’s scholarship programs.

In the competition, participant #0385 Alfrence Braza claimed first place with a cash prize of ₱8,000, finishing the track in 10 minutes and 14 seconds. Runner #0328 Charlie Cuda followed in second place, earning ₱5,000 with a time of approximately 10 minutes and 20 seconds, while participant #0327 Fritz Operio secured third place, finishing in 10 minutes and 29 seconds and receiving ₱3,000.

The event successfully highlighted fitness, fun, and service, making WUP’s 80th anniversary celebration both meaningful and memorable.
