In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Guidance and Placement Center (GPC) held a special activity for the College of Medicine (COM) on October 24, 2025, at the University Amphitheater.

The program aimed to equip the medicine students with knowledge and stress-management strategies to strengthen their resilience amid the demands of their academic journey. Through discussions and interactive activities, the event emphasized the importance of self-care, emotional awareness, and mental wellness as key foundations for those preparing to serve in the healthcare field.

“This activity provided a supportive space for our future physicians to reflect on their well-being,” Dr. Annie Dinh Maria M. Alfaro, GPC Director, commented.
Some faculty and staff members of COM also joined the students and the facilitators in this event.

The GPC Team encouraged everyone to help build a compassionate and mentally healthy learning community, where students would feel supported, empowered, and ready to thrive.
