The Office of Student Affairs, through the Supreme Student Council (SSC) of Wesleyan University–Philippines (WUP), participated in aRUNkada: Every Step Runs for Change on December 6, 2025, at WalterMart Cabanatuan. The fun run was organized to raise support for the scholars of Alalay sa Kaunlaran, Inc. (ASKI) and gathered runners from various groups and partner organizations.
Representing the WUP student body were John Reniel De Dios and Russel Parumog. Their participation reflected the SSC’s involvement in university and community-related events.
De Dios noted the relevance of taking part in aRUNkada ’25, stating, “As a student, I think being active in this type of event has a significant impact not only on my wellness but also on supporting the cause of aRUNkada. As a 4th-year student, I understand how challenging it is to study—physically, mentally, and especially financially. It was also fulfilling as a student leader to help other students work toward their dreams.”
ASKI Executive Director Rolando B. Victoria expressed appreciation for the participants and highlighted the event’s purpose in supporting ASKI scholars.
WUP’s participation in aRUNkada ‘25 was in line with previous university engagements involving health, outreach, and student initiatives. The event was part of ongoing efforts to engage students in activities related to community support and youth development.
