Wesleyan University-Philippines (WU-P) and the ADM (Alfrito David Mah) Foundation, Inc. officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to open new doors of opportunity for deserving but financially challenged students.

Facilitated by the Wesleyan External Systems, Connections, Opportunities, and Partnerships (WESCOP), this partnership aimed to support students’ academic journeys while strengthening community engagement. Under the MOA, the ADM Foundation committed to paying for the educational expenses (tuition, laboratory fees, and miscellaneous fees) of selected WU-P student-grantees enrolled in the BS in Business Administration, BS in Nursing, and other allied medical programs.

The agreement also established a rigorous selection process to ensure that only the most qualified students benefit from the program. Student-grantees were required to maintain high academic performance, demonstrate good moral character, and commit to working with ADM or its designated partners for a period equal to the duration of the scholarship.

WUP President Dr. Irineo G. Alvaro, Jr. and ADM Foundation Executive Director Mr. Gino Paulo Mah signed the agreement, witnessed by Dr. Gladys P. Mangiduyos (WUP VPAP) and Mr. Dennis D. Yturalde (ADM Foundation). The collaboration reflected both institutions’ commitment to empowering the youth through access to quality education and practical career opportunities.

Following this, a separate meeting with Dr. Marites A. Castañeda, WUP VP for Finance, was held with ADM Foundation and WESCOP.
This initiative would directly contribute to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Through this partnership, WU-P, ADM Foundation, and WESCOP reaffirmed their dedication to nation-building one scholar at a time.
