Wesleyan University-Philippines (WUP) marked a significant milestone as it debuted in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), highlighting the institution’s ongoing efforts to foster innovation and deliver quality services to its stakeholders.
Under the leadership of University President Dr. Irineo G. Alvaro Jr., WUP submitted comprehensive documentation for two WURI categories—Visionary Leadership and Crisis Management. The University ranked 45th worldwide in Visionary Leadership and 45th worldwide in Crisis Management, placing it among the globally recognized innovative institutions.
WUP’s inclusion in the WURI rankings aligned with the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) directive to internationalize academic standards. As an autonomous university, this recognition affirmed WUP’s commitment to innovation, global competitiveness, and transformative leadership in higher education.
