The celebration included competitions like Book Face, a creative photography contest where participants match their face or body with a book cover in a way that seamlessly blends the two. This is usually done with book covers that feature a person’s face, hands, or other body parts, creating an illusion that the book and the person are one, and library promotional vlog contest. These events were participated in by junior high school, senior high school, and college students. The judges for the competitions were Engr. Leo M. Ramos, Chairman, WU-P Library Committee, Prof. Edrelaine F. Corpuz, and Mr. Rolando S. Macasaquit, Jr., members of the Library Committee.
Present during the awarding ceremony held at the Main Library on February 26, 2025, were Dr. Gladys P. Mangiduyos, Vice President for Administration and Planning, and Rev. Dr. Francis V. Fajardo, University Chaplain who joined Dr. Carmelita A. Tiglao, University Librarian, and Engr. Leo M. Ramos in the awarding the prizes to the winners which included cash, medals, and certificates. Certificates of Participation were also given to participants.
