Wesleyan University-Philippines held its three-day Book Fair 2026 from August 25 to 27, 2026, in the lobby of the Jose, Justina, Dominga (JJD) Garcia Auditorium, featuring academic publications from three book companies as part of the University’s library collection development initiative.

Participating exhibitors included Belview Book Company, Books Atpb., and Wiseman’s Book Trading, Inc., which showcased academic reference books aligned with the university’s various academic programs.

The event was organized through the initiative of University Librarian Carmelita A. Tiglao, together with the library staff and the Library Committee.

“We invited publishers and book companies from Metro Manila to exhibit recent titles with copyright dates intended to provide updated academic references,” the University Librarian mentioned.

Tiglao highlighted that the university administration approved a ₱1 million budget for the acquisition of 319 new book volumes with copyright dates from 2025, 2026, and 2027.

“The purchase was supported by University President Dr. Irineo G. Alvaro, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Wilfredo C. Ramos, Vice President for Finance Dr. Marites A. Castañeda, and Vice President for Administration and Planning Dr. Gladys P. Mangiduyos,” she added.

Faculty members, deans, program heads, and students from different colleges visited the venue and browsed the collection of books available for instructional and reference use.
