The Wesleyan University–Philippines Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (WUP-JPIA) was hailed as Regional Overall 1st Runner-Up during the 29th Regional Mid-Year Convention (RMYC) of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, held on January 16–18, 2026, at Forest Crest Nature Hotel and Resort in Nasugbu, Batangas.The distinction was awarded following WUP-JPIA’s commendable performance in various academic and non-academic activities. “This achievement reflects the collective efforts and strong leadership of the organization, together with the University’s continued support in developing competent and socially responsible students. It also stands as a testament to WUP-JPIA’s excellence and active participation in regional-level undertakings,” Mr. Christopher M. Parial, faculty member of the College of Business and Accountancy, highlighted.

The convention brought together local JPIA chapters from across the region for leadership development, professional growth, and academic engagement.
