Wesleyan University-Philippines (WUP) participated in the 40th National Assembly of the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities – Accrediting Council, Inc. (ACSCU-ACI) held from June 17 to 19, 2026, at Roy’s Hotel in Bacolod City.

The assembly carried the theme, “The Three I’s of Transformative Education: Inclusion, Innovation, and Internationalization.”

The WUP delegation was headed by University President Dr. Irineo G. Alvaro, Jr. and included Dr. Wilfredo C. Ramos, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. John Jason Villaroman, Director of the Quality Assurance Office; Dr. John Mark F. Bondoc, Graduate School Dean; Dr. Dulce Amor S. Padilla, Dean of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management; Prof. Jelwin D. Bautista, Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy; and Prof. Emmanuel John R. Pangan, President’s Office Staff.

Representing the WUP Maria Aurora Campus were Dr. Ferdinand Romano, School Administrator; Dr. May Anne Castro, Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy; Dr. Marlon Sumait, Dean of the College of Computer Studies; Dr. Janice Aguinaldo, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education; Dr. Alicia Abalos, Basic Education Principal; and Ms. Flordeliza Lomboy, Registrar.

During the assembly, several academic programs of the WUP Cushman Campus received new accreditation levels.

Granted Level IV Status, the highest accreditation level awarded to a tertiary or graduate program, were the following programs: Master of Arts in Education, Master of Education, Master of Arts in Nursing, Doctor of Education, Master in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

The Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management programs received Level III Status.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program received a Plaque of Recognition for “Excellent Performance” in the Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission, having attained a 95–99 percent passing rate among 100 or more examinees.

At the WUP Maria Aurora Campus, the Junior High School Program was re-accredited at Level II, while the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Criminology, and Bachelor of Elementary Education programs were granted Level I Accreditation.
