A kind and generous group from the United States, the World Medical Relief, donated several thousand of dollars worth of medical supplies and equipment to Wesleyan University-Philippines.
The donations were given to the Wesleyan University Hospital, the College of Nursing, and the College of Allied Medical Sciences. These gifts will be used to help the sick and the poor, especially those in underserved communities who have little access to healthcare.
Dr. Irineo G. Alvaro Jr., President of Wesleyan University-Philippines, expressed heartfelt gratitude to World Medical Relief for their selfless contribution.
“These donations are more than material gifts—they are instruments of healing and hope. Thanks to World Medical Relief, many lives in our communities can be touched.” Dr. Alvaro said.
“We are deeply grateful to World Medical Relief, through the leadership of Chairman Mike Baydoun and President George Samson, for their kindness. Through these resources, we will be able to train future nurses and allied health professionals, not only to serve in hospitals, but also to reach far-flung barangays and underserved communities through medical missions,” he added.
The supplies will help students learn how to take care of patients better and give them tools to serve during medical outreach programs. This is part of Wesleyan’s mission to show love and care to others.
