The University Auditorium was rededicated in memory of Jose, Justina, and Dominga Garcia, pillars of faith and service whose legacy continues to inspire the Wesleyan community.
University President Dr. Irineo G. Alvaro led the event, which was attended by administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and guests.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Bishops Rodel M. Acdal, Ruby-Nell M. Estrella, and Isarel M. Painit of The United Methodist Church. This was followed by the sprinkling of holy water, led by University Chaplain Rev. Francis Fajardo, together with the bishops, to sanctify the space. The ceremony included the lighting of candles marking the consecration of the facility as a beacon of learning, faith, and service.
University officials stated that the auditorium will continue to be used for academic, cultural, and spiritual activities. The renovation was made possible through a partnership with One Quest Review Center, which provides review programs for licensure exams, including the Licensure Examination for Nursing, NCLEX, criminology, and other nursing-related exams.
A visit to the University Main Gate was also conducted to check the current installation and to perform an initial test of the turnstile gate. This would enhance perimeter security, support operational efficiency, encourage accurate accountability, and reduce reliance on human resources—all while integrating seamlessly into broader security infrastructures.
The ceremony concluded with a fellowship gathering and prayers of thanksgiving.
