Representatives from Zion Christian Colleges, Inc. (ZCCI) Capas, Tarlac, visited Wesleyan University-Philippines (WUP) for a benchmarking activity in line with their institution’s expansion plans on May 26, 2026.

ZCCI sought guidance and assistance from WUP in preparation for the opening of its Bachelor of Early Childhood Education program.

During the discussions, institutional leaders from both institutions engaged in a conversation focused on academic collaboration and program development. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between WUP and ZCCI was made to establish a formal partnership to support the latter’s upcoming educational endeavors, capacity building for faculty, and curriculum review specifically for the Early Childhood Education program. Following the discussion, the ZCCI delegation toured the campus and its facilities, allowing them to observe campus life at WUP.

WUP President Dr. Irineo G. Alvaro Jr., as the incumbent president of the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities (ACSCU), expressed his support for this collaboration, emphasizing that initiatives like this are vital in helping other academic institutions grow and prosper.
He noted that this partnership directly aligns with the shared vision of WUP and the ACSCU to foster mutual development and elevate the standards of Christian education across the region.
