COLLEGE OF EDUCATION – GRADUATE STUDIES RESEARCH CONFERENCE

On November 18, 2023, the College of Education hosted the Graduate Studies Research Conference at SM Megacenter Level 3, Cinema 2. The event, organized by the Graduate Studies Student Organization, aimed to facilitate academic discourse and exploration of key topics in research, focusing on research publication essentials and quantitative methods and data analysis. The facilitators, led by the Graduate Studies Student Organization, ensured the smooth progression of the conference.The conference commenced with an inspirational message from Dr. Lucille Hilario, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Her words set a motivating tone for the graduate studies students in attendance. Dr. Joel Mayo Torres, a distinguished Professor 3 at Central Luzon State University, took the stage as the first lecturer. His presentation delved into the intricacies of “Research Publication Essentials,” providing valuable insights into effective scholarly communication.

Following Dr. Torres, Prof. Jaynelle Domingo, a faculty member at Nueva Ecija University of Science & Technology, delivered a lecture on “Quantitative Methods and Data Analysis.” Prof. Domingo’s expertise illuminated the importance of robust quantitative methodologies and data analysis techniques in research, offering a comprehensive understanding to the participants.

One of the highlights of the conference was the participation of international students. Liyun Gao and Sun Bin, Master of Arts in Education students, presented their research papers, bringing a global perspective to the event. Their contributions added a layer of diversity and cross-cultural insights, enriching the overall academic experience.

In conclusion, the College of Education – Graduate Studies Research Conference was a resounding success, fostering an environment of academic exchange and intellectual growth. The engaging lectures, coupled with the international student presentations, contributed to a vibrant and enriching experience for all participants. As the conference concluded, the College looks forward to future events that will continue to elevate the standards of research and scholarship within the academic community, reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence.

The research colloquium was participated by the graduate school students from different programs such as Master of Education, Master of Arts in Education, Professional Master in Educational Leadership, Master in Business Administration, Master in Public Administration, Master of Arts in Nursing, Doctor of Education major in Educational Leadership and Management, and Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration including foreign students from the MBA and PhD-BA programs.

This regular activity of graduate school aims to disseminate research of the students and to encourage future researchers to venture in doing research paper.

The Graduate School Studies paved its way for the Summer’s Research Colloquium during the two-day activity on July 12-13, 2024 at CHTM Function
Hall, Wesleyan University-Philippines. The program highlighted the showcase of research from the graduate school students in various fields. The research colloquium was participated by the graduate school students from different programs such as Master of Education, Master of Arts in Education, Professional Master in Educational Leadership, Master in Business Administration, Master in Public Administration, Master of Arts in Nursing, Doctor of Education major in Educational Leadership and Management, and Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration including foreign students from the MBA and PhD-BA programs

RESEARCH COLLOQUIUM,FIRST SEMESTER AY 2023-2024

Research Colloquium 2023: Showcasing Innovation and Academic Excellence
On December 9, 2023, the Graduate School of Wesleyan University-Philippines successfully hosted its Research Colloquium at the University Chapel for the first semester of AY 2023-2024 featuring insightful presentations and discussions on cutting-edge research across various academic disciplines. This colloquium provided a platform for students, faculty, and researchers to present their work and exchange ideas with peers and experts in the field.

The 2023 Research Colloquium was attended by [number of participants] researchers, academics, and students who came together to engage in scholarly dialogues. The event highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering research excellence and encouraging collaboration among members of the academic community.

The colloquium featured 22 research presentations across different topics, showcasing both innovative approaches and significant findings in various field such as Doctor of Education, Master of Arts in Education, and Master of Education.

Each presenter was given the opportunity to share their methodology, findings, and implications, followed by engaging question-and-answer sessions where peers provided feedback and posed thought-provoking questions.

In addition to the presentations, a panel discussion was held, featuring experts from different fields who engaged in a dynamic conversation with the paper presenter. The panelists explored challenges and opportunities in their works with a focus on how future research could address current gaps in knowledge of for its publication.

The Graduate School looks ahead, we remain committed to supporting research initiatives and providing platforms for intellectual exchange and growth.
We look forward to the next colloquium and the groundbreaking research it will undoubtedly bring.

On November 18, 2023, the College of Education – Graduate Studies of Wesleyan University-Philippines held its Graduate Studies Research Conference at the SM Mega Center Cinema 2, Level 3, and it was a blast! The event was a rousing success, bringing together graduate students, faculty members, and experts in the field of education to present and discuss recent research projects and innovations.

The conference was an incredible chance for participants to show off their research, take part in lively academic discussions, and share their knowledge with their peers. The event was a celebration of collaborative and innovative studies that addressed various educational challenges and prospects in exciting new ways.

A number of graduate students had the chance to present their thesis work, which covered a wide array of fascinating topics in the education sector. The research topics reflected the current needs and trends in education, including curriculum development, teaching methodologies, student assessment, and the use of technology in education—and they were all absolutely fascinating!

The event also provided an excellent platform for students and educators to engage in meaningful discussions, exchange ideas, and establish academic connections that could lead to future research collaborations—a truly unmissable opportunity!
