Representing the Philippine Society of Medical Technology Students (PHISMETS) Central Luzon, the Wesleyan University-Philippines (WUP) College of Allied Medical Sciences – Medical Technology Department won 1st Runner-Up in the National Dance Competition during the PHISMETS National Congress held on October 22, 2025, at Manila Central University, Caloocan City.The team competed against medical technology schools from across the country. Their participation followed their victory as Regional Champions in the PHISMETS Region III Congress held at Our Lady of Fatima University – Nueva Ecija on November 30, 2024.
Coach Kevin Patrick Santos, a faculty member of CAMS, expressed pride in the team’s performance, saying, “We never really expect to win since we are competing with Medical Technology schools across the Philippines, but being able to place 1st Runner-Up is something to be proud of.”
The achievement highlighted the department’s dedication to excellence, teamwork, and holistic student development, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
