Guided by the theme “Hinubog ng Pananampalataya, Pinatatag ng Kahusayan. Wesleyan para sa Maunlad na Lipunan,” Wesleyan University-Philippines (WU-P) Batch 2025 graduates attended the Baccalaureate Thanksgiving Services on August 25, 2025, at the University Chapel as part of the school’s 77th Commencement Exercises.

The morning service gathered candidates for graduation from the College of Nursing (CON), College of Allied Medical Sciences (CAMS), College of Engineering and Computer Technology (CECT), College of Education (COED), College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM), Wesley Divinity School, and the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE).

In his message, Bishop Rodel M. Acdal of Baguio Episcopal Area emphasized that real progress is not measured in material wealth but in values lived out through faith and service.

“Your diploma is not just for you, it is for the lives you touch… You might not be able to change the entire world, but you can make a difference in someone’s world through one act of love at a time—one gesture of kindness—one stand for truth—one life lived with faith and excellence. And if you Wesleyanians do that, then together you will shape not only communities but the very future of our nation—progressive, God-centered, and filled with love,” he said.

Meanwhile, the afternoon service gathered candidates for graduation from the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), John Wesley School of Law and Governance (JWLSG), and the Graduate School.

“Because the success that we are building today, this afternoon, must be for God’s glory and His kingdom, and not for ourselves alone. Integrity when no one is watching. Humility, because God has always been the giver of all this,” said Rev. Resty L. Jingco, District Superintendent of the North Pampanga District of The United Methodist Church, in his message.

“In conclusion, I pray that in times of distress and challenges, you may be courageous, that you will have the compassion to serve, and the wisdom in your decisions in life. And may God’s glory bless you as you bring blessings to others,” he added.

Both services resounded with prayers, scripture reflections, and hymns of praise, highlighted by the Wesleyan Chamber Singers’ performances of Kabutihan ng Diyos and Dakilang Katapatan.

Faculty, pastors, and staff members also offered blessings of dedication, marking the graduates’ passage from learners to future leaders of service.
