To further strengthen its leadership in medical education, Wesleyan University-Philippines (WUP) appointed Dr. Emmanuel Y. Lambon as Associate Dean of the College of Medicine (COM), effective October 6, 2025.The formal signing of his appointment paper was held at the Office of the University President and was witnessed by WUP President Dr. Irineo G. Alvaro Jr. and Human Resource Development Office Director Dr. Abraham A. Pascua.

As Associate Dean, Dr. Lambon was tasked to assist in overseeing the academic and administrative operations of the COM. His appointment was part of the University’s continuing effort to enhance academic management and support its mission to produce competent, compassionate, and Christ-centered physicians.
Dr. Lambon earned his Doctor of Medicine and Master in Public Health degrees from Cagayan State University, where he also currently pursues his Doctor of Philosophy in Education major in Science Education.

In February 2025, he completed a workshop on Translating Curriculum Plan into Course Design in Medical Education conducted by the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges. He also completed a short course on Health Administration and Management at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration in 2018.

Before his appointment, Dr. Lambon served as Resident Physician at the Wesleyan University-Philippines Hospital from January 2023 to October 2024 and as Part-time Instructor (Assistant Professor 3) at the WUP COMA beginning in September 2023. He also served as a Part-time Instructor in the Master in Public Health Program at Cagayan State University Graduate School, Andrews Campus, starting in September 2022.

His professional experience included serving as a Clinical Instructor at the School of Hygiene in Tamale, Ghana (October 2011–October 2012), Health Worker (Volunteer Service) at St. Lucy Catholic Hospital in Tamale, Ghana (August 2017–January 2019), and Clinical Attachment at Tamale Teaching Hospital (February–June 2018).

Dr. Lambon also completed a Post-Graduate Medical Internship at Cagayan Valley Medical Center.

He participated in various medical training programs and seminars, including workshops on curriculum design in medical education and national health research events, and conducted research on nutrition programs in Cagayan and on health-related non-governmental organization (NGO) activities in Ghana.

Dr. Lambon was born in Nalerigu, Ghana.
