Wesleyan University-Philippines (WUP) recorded a 66.67% overall passing rate in the August 2025 Guidance Counselors Computer-Based Licensure Examination (GCLE) conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission on August 6–7, 2025.Out of 21 examinees from WUP, 14 passed the exam. Of the 16 first-time takers, 11 passed, resulting in a 68.75% passing rate. The national average passing rate for first-time takers was 75.04%. For repeat-takers, WUP had a 60% passing rate, higher than the national average of 41.71%.Nationwide, a total of 744 examinees from 188 higher education institutions took the exam, with 496 passing. The national overall average passing rate was also 66.67%.

Graduate School Dean Dr. John Mark F. Bondoc also acknowledged the contribution of the Graduate School faculty, stating, “This success would not have been possible without the guidance and expertise of our Graduate School faculty handling the MAEd/MEd in Guidance and Counseling program, led by Dr. Annie Dinh Alfaro, MEd-GC Program Head.”

He expressed appreciation to university officials and support units: “On behalf of the Graduate School, I extend my gratitude to our university officials, headed by our University President, Dr. Irineo Alvaro Jr., for their support in all GS programs and initiatives. Special thanks to our University Registrar, Atty. Lyndon John de Leon, and his staff for their prompt response in assisting our students in filing their examination applications.”

The university’s Master of Education program was recently granted Level III Accreditation Status by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) through the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities – Accrediting Council, Inc. (ACSCU-ACI).
