Dr. Joepet G. Portana, Manager of the WUP TESDA Assessment Center and OIC-Director of the Alumni Affairs Office, was reappointed as an Expert Panel Member of Region III for Trainers Methodology (TM) I by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

The reappointment was formalized through Memorandum Circular No. 033, series of 2025, and TESDA Order No. 918, series of 2025, both dated December 22, 2025, issued by TESDA Secretary and Director General Jose Francisco B. Benitez.

Dr. Portana was listed among the 225 reappointed Regional Experts Panel Members (REPMs) in the country, and one of the 19 from Central Luzon. Among these were the 153 from TESDA Technology Institutions (government-run) and 72 from Technical-Vocational Institutions (privately run).

The memorandum stated that the reappointed REPMs underwent capability-building programs conducted by the TESDA Certification Office and submitted the required outputs for the reappointment process. It also noted that the REPMs for TM I were the only individuals authorized to conduct assessments for the Trainers Methodology I qualification.

Dr. Portana was first appointed as a REPM for TM I in December 2024.
